This Privacy Policy explains how Spend AI Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Spend AI mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. WHO WE ARE
Spend AI is built and operated by Spend AI Ltd., located at 300 Delaware Ave, Suite 210, Wilmington, DE 19801, USA. You can reach us at info@spendaiapp.com.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you create an account and use the App, we collect:
a) Account information
- Email address (used for sign-in via email one-time code or Google Sign-In)
- Display name (optional, set during onboarding)
- Avatar image (optional, set during onboarding)
- Your responses to our onboarding quiz (used to personalize the experience)
b) Financial data you enter
- Transactions you log (amount, currency, category, merchant, notes, date, optional receipt image)
- Wallets you configure
- Budgets and goals you create
- Subscriptions you track (name, amount, billing cycle, payment account label, notes)
c) Receipt scans (optional)
- When you choose to scan a receipt, the App uses on-device optical character recognition to extract text. Receipt images you save are stored in our private cloud storage and are accessible only by you and by us in connection with providing the service.
d) Device and notification data
- Expo push notification token, so we can deliver the notifications you opt in to
- Crash diagnostics and performance data via Sentry, with email and IP address stripped before transmission
- Anonymous product interaction data via Expo Insights
e) Subscription and purchase data
- Apple App Store transaction identifiers and entitlement state, processed on our behalf by RevenueCat
- We do not see, store, or process your payment card or Apple ID password — these are handled entirely by Apple
f) Referral data
- Your unique referral code
- If you joined via someone else's code, that referrer's user identifier
- Reward grant records when referral milestones are met
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the App's core features
- Authenticate you across sessions and devices
- Personalize insights, suggestions, and the home screen
- Send the in-app and push notifications you have enabled in Settings
- Process subscription purchases and restore entitlements
- Track and grant referral rewards
- Diagnose crashes and improve stability
- Comply with legal obligations
4. AI-GENERATED INSIGHTS

5. THIRD-PARTY PROCESSORS
We rely on the following processors to operate the App. Each is contractually required to handle your data only on our instructions and in line with this Policy.
- Supabase — database, authentication, file storage, push delivery infrastructure
- RevenueCat — in-app subscription management and entitlement state
- Apple — App Store authentication, In-App Purchases, Sign in with Apple
- Google — Google Sign-In, if you choose it as a sign-in method
- Expo — push notification delivery via the Expo Push API
- Sentry — crash and performance diagnostics, with personally identifying information stripped
- Resend — transactional emails (for example, your data export)
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not share your personal information with advertisers.
6. DATA RETENTION
Your data remains in your account until you delete it or close your account. You may delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. When you do, your transactions, budgets, goals, subscriptions, wallets, push tokens, and stored receipts are deleted from our active systems within seven (7) days. Limited audit log entries may be retained with your user identifier removed to support security investigations and legal obligations.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
You can, at any time:
- Access and review the data you have entered, directly inside the App
- Export your data via Settings → Account → Export my data
- Correct your data by editing it inside the App
- Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Account → Delete account
- Adjust which notifications you receive via Settings → Notifications
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@spendaiapp.com.
8. CHILDREN
Spend AI is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@spendaiapp.com.
9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Your information is processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to those servers, subject to appropriate safeguards.
10. SECURITY
We use industry-standard safeguards including row-level access controls, encrypted transit (HTTPS / TLS), and encryption at rest by our infrastructure provider. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify you inside the App before they take effect.
